Pinoy Herald came to life with its underlying philosophy of “educare et informare,” through the power of print media. Its existence is born out of philosophy and not of necessity. It is this philosophy, which moves the spirit of the founders and editorial staff to always look towards the future where diversity becomes the centerpiece of societal prosperity.

Pinoy Herald is a service-oriented organization incorporated in the State of Virginia, United States, with the aim of catering to the needs of the Filipino-American community through print media. The organization, composed of volunteers from the said community, releases a fortnightly newspaper, “Pinoy Herald: Ang Diaryo Nating Mga Filipino sa America,” which disseminates news and information relevant to the Filipino-American community. The said publication is distributed to members of the community free of charge, testament to the spirit of volunteerism that breathes life into the organization.

Pinoy Herald aims for diversity in its approach to journalism. We shall always strive towards that end. While we remain as messengers of news articles relevant to the Filipino – American community, we are as well committed towards sharing diverse opinions and ideas of our Filipino writers. To achieve this goal, we will pursue a campaign for diversity of ideas by soliciting articles from the Filipino community whatever their spiritual, social and political beliefs. The paper is also allocating a space for tourism and culture in order to promote the splendor of the archipelago and the underlying values and beauty of its people, which constitute the identity of the nation. The paper is distributed free of charge and will rely solely on advertising and some donations from Filipino communities.

It is with great enthusiasm and commitment that we envision a diverse and free flow of ideas in the months and years ahead.

The organization strives to promote harmony and understanding in the Filipino-American community through print media, by disseminating news articles relevant to the community, promoting Filipino culture and Philippine tourism and serving as a venue for the exchange of diverse and different ideas among Filipino writers.
