SC sets hearing on C-5 road project on July 6

THE Supreme Court has issued a status quo order on the implementation of the C5 road extension project along Tandang Sora that would link the North and South Luzon expressways at a cost of P100 million. The SC's First Division granted the petition filed by Beda Torrecampo, barangay captain of Old Balara, Quezon City, seeking to enjoin the Department of Public Works and Highways from undertaking construction activities in the area. The SC also scheduled the case for hearing on July 6 and directed DPWH secretary Hermogenes Ebdane and Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System...
